Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page!
I have been talking about running the Boston Marathon in the Spring of 2012 for years now, and I am thrilled to, as the saying says, be putting my (and your) money where my mouth is especially on behalf of such an incredible cause and in honor of a young man who was such a bright light, model of compassion and beacon of strength.
I am running 26.2 miles on April 16th in memory of Andy Marsh, my college roommate's brother who passed away at 27 after courageously battling melanoma for 2.5 years. Since his diagnosis in the Spring of 2007, friends and family of the Marsh's and members of the Boston College Community have represented Team Andy in various races, drives and challenges embodying the spirit Andy lived strongly and passionately with in the face of his illness and raising a remarkable amount of funds for cancer research and treatment.
I have had numerous friends and family members fall victim to various forms of cancer, so I am truly excited to be committing myself to this physical and fundraising challenge, and I thank you in advance for your support, because together we will help those who are tirelessly racing toward finding advanced treatments and cures.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the Melanoma Foundation of New England's fundraising efforts. Many thanks again for your contribution no matter how big or small -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
See you in Boston!
