Spin for ACCESS!

Hello and Welcome to my fundraising page!

Please join me for a fun-filled Spin Class at Wellesley Cycle Bar January 28th, 1:30PM – 2:15 PM. We will ride to raise money for an organization near and dear to my heart, AccessSportAmerica.   I have been involved with this small but mighty non-profit for the last four years.  I have experienced first-hand the heart and soul that goes into the programing and creativity to make a real difference in so many lives of children and adults touched by disability.

So many of us take for granted even the simplest of movements and the independenc they bring.  Every year AccesSportAmerica works with more than 2,000 youth and adults living with disabilities to improve their mobility and help renew feelings of independence.  They do this through programs like windsurfing, Hawaiian outrigger canoeing, rowing/sculling, stand-up paddling/surfing, kayaking, soccer, tennis, and personal training.  They have also developed a revolutionary Gait Trainer, an adapted treadmill designed to enhance walking speed, mobility and cadence to the most compromised of individuals challenged with severe physical challenges.    A recent study showed marked improvement in all of participants - some even doubled their walking speed!

I hope you will join me for the ride – and a thank-you reception afterwards!  If you can ride with me, please register by copying and pasting the link below into your browser – which will take you directly to the Spin for ACCESS registration page.  http://wellesley.cyclebar.com/apps/mindbody/classes/486

I know that some of you will be unable to join us for the ride on January 28th, but I’m hoping you will support us by donating to help me reach a personal goal of $10,000 to support the programs offered by AccesSport America and make a real difference in the lives of so many children and adults living with challenges and disability.

What a great time to work off that fruit cake and extra goodies consumed over the holidays.  Let’s get riding! Thank you and Happy New Year!

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
