2012 Cheetah Awards

Hey everyone,

My name is Dean Dahlsten and I am a student at Hesston High. God has given me a vision and this page is something to help fulfill this dream of mine.

God has brought a man by the name of Chad Cargill into my life who I happened to meet at a ACT prep class. One idea he talked about was the "Cheetah Awards" which are awards that his company gives out to teams of youth that do projects that do good in their community.

The second award he has is through Compassion International and is the "Water of Life" project. The Water of Life project is an amazing project that gives a family a bucket filter system that purifies the water so they can have clean pure water. These buckets are only $55, last for 40 years, and save a whole family's life.

God has called me to pursue this project and to get others to pursue it with me. A sacrifice that I am making for this project is that I will be donating all of the money that would normally be spent on me at Christmas time, and spending that on water filtration systems for families. God has called me to give this Christmas and I am extremely excited to see what he has in store for me!

I know I might just be a youth but 1st Timothy 4:12 says, "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." I will be basing my project on this verse, and I know God has blessed me and all of you with many things, and love.

Over $10,000 has been raised! Amazing! Every donation that is made helps. Even just a little donation is part of something way bigger than what we could imagine.

If you click the video to the right it will give you more information on how much of a difference you really make!

If you have any questions at all concerning this, you can contact me at

I love you all so much! - Dean
