Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Where does one begin to tell one's personal journey through Camp Ramah? Anyone who has been there knows. I think to begin with, being a feisty teenage girl, a challenge to my parents (of 6 kids), the scraping up of a few grand to send me away to camp seemed a necessity more than the spiritual awakening which in the end seemed to be the outcome!!!
Having first been to camp in 1965 at the age of 13 and again in 1967 and Ramah Seminar in 1969 I learned independence and can now say, made long lasting friendships. Thanks to Facebook, many of us have reconnected and had our own "mini-reunions"! So to you out there who are Ramah bogrim – I don't have to tell you why to donate to such special programs…………
As a result of my special summers living a Jewish experience at camp , I made Aliyah in 1970 and have loved living in Israel ever since. So, to my friends in Israel, you have Camp Ramah to thank (or not) for being so inspirational that I just had to come here after finishing high school.  All 3 of my kids, Keren, Gilad (z"l) and Yair experienced Camp Ramah, giving them also a very special perspective on their own lives as Israelis amongst predominately American campers.
I won't go on and on and on because again, we all know the importance as adults today, of programs geared to inspire Jewish youth, especially in the diaspora. And equally important, if not more so, the opportunity to enable kids less fortunate than we, to enjoy life to the maximum – while facing adversity and a less than optimal existence –
And now, what a great way to raise funds, doing what I love to do most –
RIDING MY BIKE – and with Ramah people!!!!

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
