Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

This is my 5th year raising money for The Marine Mammal Center, a nonprofit marine mammal hospital in Sausilito, California. The hospital specializes in helping whales, otters, and dolphins, but more commonly seals and sea lions. They rehabilitate these marine mammals who come to the Center with a variety of problems: malnutrition, entanglement, poisioning from domoic acid and hign mercury levels, cancer, and Leptospirosis.

Five years ago, I was the first child in the United States to raise $500 or more for the Center. I was rewarded with a trip to California where I got a behind-the-scenes tour of the Center and got the opportunity to cut the ribbon for their newly renovated hospital! I also visited the Center yet again three years ago. I continue to fundraise money each spring because it is pupping season. Pupping season is when seals and sea lions give birth to pups. The pups often get separated from their mothers, and are swept away where they may sometimes hit rocks, causing injuries. The more animals that come into the Center, the more fish they need to nourish them. And every dollar I raise buys one pound of fish. A young harbor seal at the Center could require up to $50 of food and medication each day, so the Center needs an abundance of fish.

Two years ago, I was honored to have been selected as a youth ambassador for Dawn Dishwashing Liquid's Junior Wildlife Champions program. The goal of the campaign was to teach 1,000,000 elementary-aged children to be responsible for our environment and encourage them to become involved with helping our ecosystem.

This is the fourth year that The Young School has helped me raise money for the seals, and they have been very supportive and helpful. Without the amazing kids, parents, and staff, none of this would have been possible. THANK YOU YOUNG SCHOOL!

I will be having a restaurant night at Pasta Blitz on Thursday, April 24. Pasta Blitz will be donation 20% of sales ALL DAY to The Marine Mammal Center. Please let me know if you need a flyer. Hope to see you there! (Pasta Blitz is located at 6010 University Blvd, Ellicott City, MD 21043.)

Thanks for donating!  Every dollar counts!
