***The fundraiser is now closed!  Thanks to everyone who donated and helped us to surpass our goal!  The winner of the quilt is Becca Lollar from Pensacola, Florida.  Congratulations, Becca!

The Emerald Coast Modern Quilt Guild is raising money for Children in Crisis (CIC), whose mission statement is:

"Providing Homes and Establishing Hope" for the abused, neglected and abandoned children of Northwest Florida. The Children’s Neighborhood provides an emergency shelter for young children, and the family foster homes help with the severe shortage of foster homes in our community. Together, we can make a difference in the life of a child.

CIC is home to Children's Neighborhood, which is an emergency shelter for children who are removed without notice from an unsafe environment and a family foster home for young children. It also has a playground with a pavillion, a recreation center for the children, and a neighborhood center for administration.

They strive to keep siblings together, which can be difficult in certain situations.

We are hoping to raise at least $500 for Children In Crisis, so they can continue to provide a wonderful safe haven for the children who come through their doors.

As a thank you to those who donate, one person will receive a beautiful quilt that we have made.  This modern quilt is made up of colors representative of the beautiful beaches of Northwest Florida (aka the Emerald Coast), and measures approximately 40" x 54".  To be eligible to receive this quilt, you must donate by midnight (CST) on Friday, November 30.  The person who has been randomly selected will be notified soon thereafter.
