Ride to the Light: Three Sanctuary Century

The Ride to the Light is a bike ride to benefit Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary, Out To Pasture Sanctuary and IDA's own Project Hope Sanctuary.

This one hundred mile (century) bike ride is September 26th. We'll be leaving from the IDA office in Portland and riding to Out To Pasture in Estacada, then on to Lighthouse in Scio. Project Hope is in Mississippi, so we won't be making a stop there, but they're with us in spirit. Come along for the ride or make a donation and help us reach (or even better, exceed) our goal of $10,000 for these three very worthy causes.

Inspired by Josh Hooten's 600 mile fundraising ride to Farm Sanctuary in Northern California from Portland, OR, this team of riders from Herbivore Clothing (Josh and Heather) and In Defense of Animals (Matt and Eric), is seeking to do a fundraising ride for the local sanctuaries and IDA's sanctuary in Mississippi. Said Hooten, "I've been skipping rope non-stop since I got back from California and I'm totally pumped. Totally."

Please contact Eric (eric@idausa.org) or Matt (matt@idausa.org) for more information.

Please also check out our Facebook fan page to find out more about the ride.
