Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I will be running the Providence, RI half-marathon on Sunday May 3rd as a part of the "Running for Rare Diseases" Team, to support the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) and my patient partner. In the United States a disease is considered rare if it affects less than 200,000 Americans. According to the National Institutes of Health there are over 7,000 rare diseases affecting more than 30 million Americans.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Your funds will support the NORD National Institutes of Health (NIH) Undiagnosed Diseases Program (UDP) Fund, established in 2008. Donations in support of this campaign are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Also, be assured that NORD does not sell, rent or exchange its donor lists with any other organization or company. For 7 consecutive years, NORD has received the top 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator, a leading independent evaluator of charities.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
