Dear Friends, Family, Customers, Running Partners, Friends of Friends... and anyone else who finds their way to this page,
Thank you for visiting the Fleet Feet Family's fundraising page for the Ronald McDonald House!
For the first time in its three year history I will not be at the Ronald McDonald House Red Shoes Run 5K. I have been invited by Adidas to the Boston Marathon that weekend to assist in putting together a training program for those wanting to train and qualify for the Boston Marathon (more details to follow when I get back).
Also, for the first time in my life I have registered for a fundraiser for the Red Shoes Run through First Giving. Fleet Feet will be at the Red Shoes Run in full force supporting the RMH and the Red Shoes Run, and since this run means so much to me, I want you to help me be there in full power while I’m away. A couple of years ago I was given a tour of the RMH, and it was so impactful seeing what they do. I met a couple of families staying there, which left me speechless; I could not imagine what they were going through. The RMH folks do such a great job taking care of the families. Did you know that it costs $65 per night to stay there, $195 for three nights, $455 for a week, and $2015 per month? Many people have to end up staying multiple weeks.
With all the ridiculous commercials this year at the super bowl, I was struck by the RMH commercial and it hit me again just how important it is to raise money for them. So since I won’t be there this year, be there with me in spirit by pledging what you can through this First Giving page. If you can’t attend the run, give a dollar or two, or more and help support the RMH Red Shoes Run and the RMH families. Let’s have a huge impact on this event through First Giving.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
