Save the Children

Europe is facing its worst refugee crisis since World War II. Children are suffering and need our help. Save the Children's emergency responders are working across Europe providing aid and support. But they need your help to reach more refugee children. Your support will help us reach desperate children across Europe and in other locations where refugees are on the move.

Their Mission

Save the Children invests in childhood – every day, in times of crisis and for our future. In the United States and around the world, they give children a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. By transforming children's lives now, they change the course of their future and ours.

What They Do

Save the Children gives children in the United States and around the world what every child deserves. They have education, health and emergency programs in place to help those in need. They provide quality educational materials, robust health and nutrition guidance, and they protect children from abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence in all regions of the world. Their emergency response team is there whether there is a natural disaster, famine, war or disease outbreak to help any and all children affected.

Save the Children was founded in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb. Over the next 40 years, they continued to expand and help children all over the world. By 1970, their programs had reached 400 communities on 5 continents. As we transitioned into the new millennium, Save the children set ambitious goals where no child is born to die, no child goes to bed hungry, every child learns in school and every child grows up to a sustainable and more prosperous future.
