I came to Ramah New England in 1984 to work in the kitchen. GIven a staffing shortage, I agreed to be "re-routed" to Tikvah. It changed my life!
I was a counselor and rosh edah (division head) for six years. I studied social work and special education in graduate school (thanks to the influence of my Tikvah assistant division head and mentor who was in that program!) and have devoted much of my professional career to Jewish special needs camping. I am proud to my enter my 11th year as director of Tkvah, and I am still in close contact with Tikvah founders, Herb and Barbara Greenberg, and with my Tikvah Director predecessor, Debbie Fidler.
The Tikvah Family--campers, staff members, families, shlichim, etc. is amazing!
And now, Ramah is offering a way to combine three of my passions: Ramah special needs camping, Israel, and bike riding!
