Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for MIRACLES OF MITCH FOUNDATION!

I'm participating in my first triathlon in memory of my grandpa, Roger Knudson who died from cancer on October 16, 2009. He'll be watching from heaven!

My uncle, an Ironman triathlete is helping me with training, and so is my mom--we bike and run together. I'm already a great swimmer, so I'll be lake swimming with Uncle Matt, and biking and running with mom.

On June 14th I went to the Fort Snelling cemetery to bring my grandpa flowers and a birthday card for his birthday. I know my mom wishes he'd could watch me race, but he is watching me I remind her -- everyday from heaven. My guardian angel my mom tells me. I'm his first grandchild. My mom always tells me, "your Roger Knudson's grandson -- so you can do anything." He was very special, served his country for 40 years and earned the highest military medal award during peace time. But his biggest legacy is his faith! I miss him so much.

From Jake’s mom: My dad took me by a retreat center, Faith's Lodge more than once, which was right by his home in Wisconsin. The mission of Faith's Lodge is to provide a place where parents and families facing the serious illness or loss of a child can retreat to reflect on the past, renew strength for the present and build hope for the future. I know my dad was grateful for having healthy children, and I think showing this place was his way of reminding any parent, including myself that having a healthy child is a blessing. This is why supporting the Miracles of Mitch Foundation fits so perfectly for my son and me. It helps those fighting the cancer that took my dad; and it specifically helps children fighting cancer—something I know my dad would love.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
