Jessica's Running for a Reason
My name is Jessica Dyson, and I am currently training for the Chevron Houston Marathon on January 15, 2012. In addition to training for this race, I decided to take it a step farther & to run for a reason! Please help me in supporting the Organization for Autism Research.
Autism is a developmental disorder that affects the way one communicates and interacts with the environment. Today, 1 in 110 children in the US are diagnosed with autism, typically by the age of 3.
The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is a national non-profit committed to excellence in its research and services to individuals with autism and their families, educators, and caregivers. To learn more about OAR's philosophy and involvement in the autism community, please visit www.researchautism.org.
The RUN FOR AUTISM is OAR's signature fundraising effort, having raised more than $2 million since its inception in 2003. This money goes directly to fund studies that are likely to produce practical and objective results to aid families, professionals, and individuals with autism in answering their most urgent questions and making informed decisions.
Donate to Jessica Dyson and the RUN FOR AUTISM team to help make a difference in the lives of the 1 in 110 living with autism in the United States today.
Thank you for your support!
