Thank you for visiting my fundraising web page for the 22nd Annual Walk-Along for Lupus! The Walk-Along for Lupus is the LALIQ`s premier signature event; the first and longest running lupus walk on Long Island. The Walk-Along for Lupus raises funds both for research as well as to help support the individual living with lupus by providing financial, supportive, and educational programs. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

As many of you know I have personally been effected by Lupus. It's a scary disease that many are not aware of or understand the severity of.  While many diseases or illnesses portray some sort sign that people are aware of, lupus is a bit different. lupus is a disease that attacks your auto immune system causing chronic pain and fatigue on the inside, while looking healthy on the outside.  Having the right treatment and a strong support system are  both something I've been extremely lucky to have, however there are so many living with the disease that are not as fortunate.   I feel very passionate about raising funds for this particular organization to help those cope with this life long battle as I have been able to do successfully thus far.  I had the opportunity to meet with the director of this charity and their goals and aspirations to help the lupus community through education, support, treatment, and finding a cure are very inspirational.
