Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial
and Museum. In May 1997 the Police Unity Tour was organized with the hope of bringing public awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty and to honour their sacrifices.
Each year during National Police Week, over one thousand law enforcement officers bike over 300 miles to Washington, DC to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. Funds raised by participants are contributed to the Memorial, which honors those who lose their lives in the line of duty. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial is the nation’s monument to law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. Carved on these walls are the names of more than 19,000 officers who have been killed in the line of duty throughout U.S. history. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial is ever-changing: new names of fallen officers are added to the monument each spring, in conjunction with National Police Week
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Thank you for supporting me in my goal and for your support of the National Law Enforcement Memorial -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
