Jonathan Rigby's Ironman New Orleans Page

Jonathan Rigby, CEO of SteadyMed Therapeutics, will be competing in Ironman 70.3 New Orleans on April 13 on behalf of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) and its Race of Our Lives Campaign. This campaign rallies around Team PHenomenal Hope’s participation in the 2014 Race Across America and encourages sport as a platform for fundraising.

As a type 1 diabetic using an insulin pump 24 hours a day every day, Jonathan understands and empathizes with some of the issues patients with Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) have with their subcutaneous or intravenous therapies and SteadyMed is committed to developing a more simple and patient friendly delivery system for these medications.

Pulmonary hypertension is high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs that can lead to heart failure. There is currently no cure. The mission of PHA is find ways to prevent and cure pulmonary hypertension, and to provide hope for the pulmonary hypertension community through support, education, research, advocacy and awareness.
