Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I will be running in the 113th Boston Marathon. This will be my first marathon, so I am going to focus on actually finishing the race, and not seriously injuring anything during or prior. I have made adequate preparations by buying the strongest deodorant legally available.
I have been given the opportunity to participate in the marathon by a charity near and dear to me and my fiance. Sara worked at MAB Community Services for two years and attests to the incredible services this organization provides for adults with developmental disabilities, kids with traumatic brain injury and services for the blind and visually impaired. People in need are provided with housing, residential schooling, adaptive equipment and vocational training, just to name a few services. MAB doesn't get many marathon numbers every year, especially when compared to larger nonprofit organizations such as Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund. I am honored that they are willing to entrust one with me, and I hope to meet their fundraising goal. The money raised will go a long way in this organization!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. If you are more comfortable, you can also mail a check made out to MAB Community Services. Their mailing address is: MAB Community Services, 200 Ivy St, Brookline, MA 02446. Don't forget to make a note that you are supporting my fundraising efforts!
If you would like to know more about MAB, you can visit their website, www.mabcommunity.org or click on the link on the left.
Many thanks for your support -- I realize financial times are tight but any little bit helps! Please forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
