Bloomington South High School Dance Marathon 2012

Dear Friend,

I recently toured Riley Hospital for Children and saw firsthand the wonderful work they do for the kids they treat and also their families. While driving back to Bloomington on the bus, I thought about how scary it could be for a child who requires the kind of care Riley offers. It would also be scary for the parents, I am sure. But, what a great thing for these children and their families to have Riley! Riley makes it not-so-scary. Once again, I am a proud participant (and student officer) in Bloomington High School South’s Dance Marathon for Riley Hospital for Children. On April 7th, between 6 p.m. and 12 a.m., countless students from South and other high schools will join together to dance, play games, create, eat and spend time with the Riley kids without sitting down. It is our way to “Dance For Those Who Can’t.” At the end of the night, totals from months of fundraising will be revealed and presented. Last year, we raised over $68,000 to support treatment, medicine and overall care of Riley kids. Many of you helped us get there. I do hope you might consider supporting me again (or for the first time) as I dance for the KIDS, because that night, it’s all about the KIDS! If you are interested in joining me and supporting this terrific cause, please click the “Donate Now” button to make a contribution. And, feel free to pass this message on to others. Just tell them, “It’s for the KIDS!”
