I am running the first segment of the 2017 relay, starting in Los Angeles, CA. I will be completing 154 miles in 6 days and ending in Barstow, CA. Check out the segment #1: http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/395080954
What: The MS Run the US – Relay is an annual 3,100-mile relay run across America for the MS cause.
The Relay begins each year mid-April near Los Angeles, CA and finishes mid-August in New York, NY. To participate, each runner commits to running 160-miles over 6 consecutive days during his or her assigned Relay segment. There are 18 segments total spanning from LA to New York, thus 18 runners on the Relay team. Once selected, each runner spends months training and fundraising as they prepare to devote one week on the road with the nonprofit while completing their segment’s miles. Donations are given to fund research for a cure through the National MS Society and the Center Without Walls, and to assist those living with disability from MS.

My Runner Story:
I am so very excited to be a part of this amazing team of individuals that are committed to the MS cause....to bringing awareness to the public, fighting to help those with MS and ever so important....FOR A CURE! MS has personally affected my life as my Grandfather lived for 40+ years with MS and my Father has been diagnosed with and fighting MS for over 10 years. I have watched the tenacity and strength these two men had to find deep within themselves to get through each day. It amazes me and challenges me to also dig deep and make a difference where I can. God has blessed me with so many amazing gifts, one of which is the ability to run! I look to be a voice for those that can't, to take each and every step (both in training and in the relay) for those that can't, and to ask for financial support from those that CAN.
Thank you for being a part of our team through your financial support. You are affecting change and bringing hope, I applaud you! I will run each mile in thanks for your commitment, to give my Dad hope and in honor of my grandfather, for all those fighting the fight each and every day to live with MS and in support of finding a cure!
I am an Ironman Finisher, 7 time Marathon finisher and many time Triathlon and road race finisher. This will be my biggest challenge to date but also the most important event I have ever participated in. Please feel free to track my progress through visiting this site and Facebook.
