OHSU Walk for Shelley

Shelley’s good friend Mitch Daugherty from the Oregon Entrepreneur’s Network has organized a week long festival to recognize the amazing work Oregon Consumer Products Companies are doing across the state. Below are Mitch’s kind words featured on the festival’s website:

“This event, and much of what we are planning on doing at Built Oregon around consumer products in Oregon, was inspired by Shelley Gunton. Shelley was the Cofounder of Castor & Pollux, an active angel investor and tireless mentor. Her passion, vision and dedication for the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem was unmatched. As part of this, and all future Built Up events, we are organizing a walk to raise money for OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute. The walk will be a time to connect with friends and celebrate life, and will end with post walk beverage at a TBD location where we can plot how all of us can remain fired up and ready to go for Oregon’s consumer product ecosystem.”

We’re excited to invite you to the inaugural OHSU Fundraiser walk! The walk is free to attend, but we do request a donation to OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute in any amount you can give. See details below for location and timing of the event.

Initial Fundraiser

We are devastated by Shelley's passing on November 19th, 2015. Throughout her twenty month battle with brain cancer, she never took a break from supporting her family as well as her many friends in the Portland entrepreneur community. We would like to continue to honor Shelley's passion to help others by raising a meaningful donation amount in support of the Knight Cancer Institute at OHSU in the hopes that some day more treatment options will exist.

We would also like this page to represent the voice of her circles. Feel free to cut and paste the links below to veiw recent articles;
