I am raising support for Give Kids the World. Give Kids the World is an organization that gives kids and their families a chance to go to Orlando and forget for a while that they are dealing with a life-threatening illness. Give Kids the World gives terminally ill children a chance to smile again even in the face of great odds. To date they have hosted over 122,000 families from all over the globe and given hope back to families and children. Families are given a week at the Give Kids the World Village as well as meals and tickets to area theme parks – all free of charge to the family.
This is not possible without help from us. I am running the Glass Slipper Challenge at Disney to raise support for this amazing organization. The Glass Slipper Challenge consists of a 10k on February 22nd and a half marathon on February 23rd. Total I will be running over 19 miles in two days, as well as volunteering at the Give Kids the World Village. It sounds like a lot to squeeze into two days, but I am super excited about this. I cannot do it without your help though. I have a goal to raise $3,000 by the end of December to help give families hope. The suggested donation is $20 for each the miles that I will run, but any donation, no matter how big or small, is much appreciated. Please also be in prayer for me as I fundraise and train for this life-changing event.
If you have any questions about Give Kids the World or the Glass Slipper Challenge please feel free to contact me.
Thanks for your time!
