Dear Family and Friends,
Last year I said, “I will NEVER do another 1/2 marathon in my life!” But now I find myself saying, “I run (ok who am I kidding, I WALK) for those who can’t.”
I have joined Strides for Hope 2017, a charity running team. I am training for the South Padre Island 1/2 Marathon (13.1miles) on November 12, 2017 and raising money for the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor.
The Cancer Support Community (CSC) is a non-profit organization that provides support, education and hope to people touched by cancer. All of the CSC services are offered to members free of charge, so fundraising programs like Strides for Hope are vital to keep these services available. For more information on the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor, visit: www.cancersupportannarbor.org.
As a cancer survivor, this organization has made a huge impact on my life. I genuinely hope you never need their services but if you do, I hope you know there is a strong and devoted team of people to help you through "life with cancer and beyond." I am hoping that you will consider supporting my fundraising efforts and this wonderful organization.
I have made a commitment to raise a minimum of $3000. My own funds are covering my travel so that 100% of your donations will go to helping the ones that need it most. Any amount you can provide will be greatly appreciated and all donations are 100% tax deductible.
Thank you very much for both your financial and emotional support! I am grateful to have so many amazing people in my life.
With love and appreciation,
