Back by popular demand, SouthCap Brokerage Group has decided to turn February into Febearduary again in 2014! In support of the US Army Rangers, we at SouthCap will grow beards for the entire month of February, while raising money for Lead the Way Fund, Inc.
Lead the Way Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established to raise funds in support of disabled U.S. Army Rangers and the families of Rangers who have died, have been injured or are currently serving in harm's way around the world. Lead the Way Fund, Inc. will provide spouses and children of deceased, disabled or active duty Rangers with assistance for health and wellness programs and other services determined to be vital to the family's well-being.
We encourage all of you to remember that these brave men continue to serve at the tip of the spear in our nation's war against terrorism. As the war "winds down", these men continue to be deployed and face hostility each and every day abroad. We at SouthCap are eternally grateful for their protection and have started what hopes to become an annual tradition.
Supporting the Army Rangers is a cause near and dear to our hearts. Lead the Way Fund was started in memory of James Regan, a high school classmate of Luke Kaplan. James was killed in Iraq while serving with honor with Charlie company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.
Also, Luke's brother, Josef Kaplan, is a member of 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.
US Army Rangers are actually the only special operations unit that is NOT allowed to grow beards so we are willing to grow them on their behalf.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
You can learn more about Lead the Way Fund, Inc. at their web site, www.leadthewayfund.org.
*For every formal insurance application we receive in February, SouthCap will make a donation to Lead the Way Fund.
*We encourage all of you to learn more about this great cause and make a donation if you feel inclined. Every dollar counts!
*Obviously, feel free to grow a beard with us and share your photos. We will send a weekly beard update.
*At the end of February, as we shave off our beards, the top donors will be able to tell the members of SouthCap what kind of mustache, goatee, etc. we must sculpt and wear for the first week of March. We will obviously share these photos as well!
