Help Victor get a Service Dog

Help Victor get a Service Dog

This is Victor. Like many 4yr old little boys, he is full of energy, loves to be outside and wants to do everything by himself. Unlike many 4yr old boys, Victor has autism. He has trouble communicating and following directions. So while other kids can enjoy independence while playing Victor needs constant supervision to ensure he stays safe. As he grows older, Victor needs his independence…he needs a service dog.

Service dogs provide more than independence they provide the sensory stimulation that will help Victor relax and focus – most of all service dogs are loyal friends to a child who has a hard time making friends due to his communication challenges.

For Victor a service dog will help him be more independent, provide him companionship and allow him to experience life without the constant oversight of his parents.

With a service dog we know Victor will be able to focus better through sensory stimulation which will help him communicate better. He’ll be able to enjoy outdoor activities without having to be constrained to a stroller for fear of running off.

We ask that you help Victor be more independent – enjoy life without needing to be constantly monitored.

How the Community Can Help

It costs over $22,000 to breed and train a service dog.  Our family has pledged to raise $15,000 for 4 Paws for Ability to support its mission and qualify for a free service dog. In return 4 Paws is making a commitment to place a quality trained dog, picked and trained specifically to meet Victor's needs.
