Matthew Curry's Bite Back Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

Did you know that Malaria is the third largest killer of the worlds chldren? Children in half of the world are at risk of contracting malaria. Malaria kills 1,500 children every night! That is over 500,000 children dying of a preventable and treatable disease in a single year!!! In the face of such daunting numbers you may ask yourself - What can I do to stop this? Is there no hope?

I am here to tell you, THERE IS HOPE!!!

Your donation of $20 will not only provide an insecticide treated mosquito net to a child and family at risk. But will also provide access to medical treatment, malaria prevention education and ongoing follow-ups by trained Compassion staff.

Together we can stop this terrible disease. Together we can Bite Back!!!

My journey with Compassion started just under 1 year ago when I sponsored my precious Syerlina at my church's Compassion Sunday.  Within 4 days of reading all that I could about sponsoring and asking God's guidance I sponsored Marisela and in October I sponsored Emely. If I had known how much it would change my life I would have sponsored years ago. The day after that I sponsored Emely I found out about my church's trip that we take to Honduras every year, I cannot deny that this was the hand of God working in my life. This trip enabled me to meet both Marisela and Emely within 6 month's of sponsoring them. Seeing the work that  Compassion does on a daily basis for the children that live in poverty was life-changing for me. There is not a day that goes by that I do not thank God for bringing these precious children into my life.

Becoming an advocate for Compassion has shown me that there are so many things that we can do to help the poor of this world. This is my contribution.
