2017 ConnectiKids Camp Promise East Fundraising Page

My name is James Lacerenza and I’m a longtime supporter of adaptive camps for youth and adults with muscular dystrophy and all disabilities. For the 6th year in a row, and the 13th year overall, our team of local businesses, schools and individuals in the Stamford, CT area are raising money for Camp Promise-East to make sure campers of all ages have an accessible, adaptive summer camp option and can experience the magic of summer camp that many of us did when we were kids.

In 2009 Camp Promise started their first camp in Seattle, and we on the East Coast were lucky when Camp Promise-East expanded to the Northeast U.S. in 2011. Since then, I’ve focused on making Camp Promise-East a reality, and this year is no different.

Camp Promise-East serves campers of ALL ages, with no age limits, with muscular dystrophy and other select neuromuscular disabilities. It’s 100% wheelchair accessible, each camper gets their own counselor, and there’s a medical team on site. Campers come from near and far, from all over New England, the Tri-State New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area, and beyond. The best thing about Camp Promise-East is that it’s FREE to attend, so that means campers and their families don’t have to pay to enjoy a week of fun!

To make that happen, I'm quarterbacking our team of friends in Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk and beyond to raise awareness and funds for Camp Promise-East and we need everyone's support to make the dream come true again. So, please join us and help support Camp Promise-East.
