I can't begin to understand what it feels like when a doctor tells you that you have cancer, or even what it feels like to fight this disease daily. But I can tell you that if running the Falmouth Road Race and raising $1,250 means that more families can focus on the fight and not worry about the bills, then I'm happy to run.
I've never run 7 miles before. The best running I do is chasing after the ice cream truck. But here I go…
I plan to raise $1,250 to help relieve some financial burden for cancer patients in New England. Additionally, if you are reading this and are in active cancer treatments in the region, please consider applying for a grant from JAF. For guidelines and an application, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The JAF motto is to "Always Run To. Always Run For. Never Run From."
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your donation!
P.S. Can someone please have an ice cream waiting at the finish line for me?
