Thank you for visiting my MS Run the US 2018 Fundraising Page!
RELAY ACROSS AMERICA:
The MS Run the US 2018 Relay is a 3,100 mile relay across America to raise awareness and funds to help CURE Multiple Sclerosis (MS)! The Relay begins in April 2018 in Los Angeles, CA and is completed August 2018 in New York, NY. I am running the last segment (18) from Pennsylvania, into New York City!
Eighteen (18) runners have been selected to run on average 160-miles over six consecutive days during their individually assigned segment. Each runner dedicates a week of running on the road, while collectively the Relay spans a distance and duration of 3,100-miles in 4 months. Check out my run segment HERE!

- Others TO BE DETERMINED!
This will be my 4th year of running for MS Run the US as a Relay Runner! In 2015 and 2016 I ran Segment #1 from LA to Barstow, CA, 152 miles in 6 days. Last year I ran Segment 18, the last segment of the relay from Sunbury, PA into NYC,171 miles in 7 days, and in 2018 I have promised to do it again! In some ways 2018 may be harder than 2017 because this time I know what I'm in for!
But really, it is not about me, which is why I can do this at all. I do this for a community of people who still live everyday with MS and are hopeful for a cure. I have good friends and a family member with MS, and I'm happy to be able to help in this way.
To date, I have run approximately 550 miles for the non-profit MS Run the US, not counting training miles! I have helped to raise over $36,000, which goes to research and to those living in the community with MS. It's been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, challenging beyond measure, and blessing me with the chance to meet amazing people along the way that I truly admire that live with MS, including some of the relay runners!
The Challenge of again running 171 miles the summer of 2018 through the Appalachian Mountains of PA this time may be worse, because I know what I'm in for! The mountains of PA and NJ are unforgiving, relentless, and require a lot of mental and physical fortitude and endurance. At the same time, I believe it will again be one of the best things I've ever done--combining my enjoyment of running with doing something extraordinary for a bigger cause than just my own fitness. I'm running for a cause I believe in--awareness and a cure for MS!
Throughout my life I have known many with this disease, including my aunt Alice, and friends throughout my life. I have been introduced to many others through the MS Run the US connections and fundraisers, and feel very blessed to know each of them. You likely know someone affected by this debilitating and unpredictable disease. There are over 400,000 Americans with MS and over 2 million worldwide.
HOW TO HELP:
My goal is to raise $10,000 for a CURE for MS. My goal is $100 from 100+donors. For a $100 donation, your name will be added to the back of one of my 7 running shirts and acknowledged the day of my race. For $250, your logo or name will go in larger print on the front of one of my running shirts.Of course, any donation is appreciated for this goal! Even $5 will help! $10,000 is a LOT of money to raise!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- please feel free to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! It is so appreciated by me and the MS Run the US non-profit! Together we can work for a CURE for MS!
