They say anyone with a little guts and a warm heart can take the "Plunge" and I am one of those folks. On February 25th I will participate in the 2012 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge for the fifth year. This event is a unique opportunity to support Special Olympics athletes by taking a flying leap - a leap into the frigid waters of Quincy Moorman Lake.
I am asking for your help to support Special Olympics Illinois athletes. Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition. I have set a personal fundraising goal of $500, and I need your help to reach it! Any amount would be appreciated - it all goes to a wonderful cause, and every little bit gets me that much closer to my goal. All proceeds collected for this event will stay local and benefit Special Olympics of Adams County athletes.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the LETR Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois.
Many thanks for your support – and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
