Thank you for visiting my Polar Plunge fundraising page. They say anyone with a little guts and a warm heart can take the "Plunge" and I am one of those folks. On February 26th I will participate in the 2011 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge for the fourth year. This event is a unique opportunity to support Special Olympics athletes by taking a flying leap - a leap into the frigid waters of Quincy Moorman Lake.
I am asking for your help to support Special Olympics Illinois athletes. Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition. I have set a personal fundraising goal of $250, and I need your help to reach it! Any amount would be appreciated - it all goes to a wonderful cause, and every little bit gets me that much closer to my goal. All proceeds collected for this event will stay local and benefit Special Olympics of Adams County athletes.
You may make you donation in person or on this fundraising page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too. If anyone would like to join me on February 26th as I take "the Plunge" you may register at http://www.plungeillinois.com. If you don't want to jump, it is still fun to come out and watch!
