They say anyone with a little guts and a warm heart can take the "Plunge" and I am one of those folks. On March 6th I will participate in the 2010 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge for the third year. This event is a unique opportunity to support Special Olympics athletes by taking a flying leap - a leap into the frigid waters of Quincy Moorman Lake.
I am asking for your help to support Special Olympics Illinois athletes. Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in sports training and competition. All proceeds collected for this event will stay local and benefit Special Olympics of Adams County athletes.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the LETR Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too.
If anyone would like to join me on March 6th as I take "the Plunge" you may register at http://www.soill.org
. If you don't want to jump, it is still fun to come out and watch!
