Now that I am a member of the police department, I found out about our department doing this Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics. Then I learned what Special Olympics does and I knew I wanted to be part of it. So now on March 3, 2012, I am going to plunge into a frozen lake to raise money for Special Olympics. I am already grateful that you have taken the time to look at my page, now if this has touched your heart, please consider making a donation to sponsor me. This is my first time doing this and I am really excited and hope to raise some good money for the athletes of the Special Olympics. Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.
To reward your generosity, I’m going to join more than 5,700 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois. I guess you could say that I’m “Freezin’ for a Reason”!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the LETR Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois.
Many thanks for your support – and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
