2012 Polar Plunge Springfield

Chatham, Illinois

Nate Saint's Page

Hello everyone!

Daniel Olsen is my inspiration for leaping into freezing cold Lake Springfield! Daniel is the brother of my girlfriend, Crystal Olsen. As I've gotten to know Dan over the years, I've been blessed again and again. He inspires me to take life head-on. He is one of the most genuine people I know, and I count it a privilege to be a part of his story.

Not only has Daniel been a participant in the Special Olympics, he has been a role model, and a spokes person for the incredible opportunities that this program provides. I've had the pleasure of watching Dan pour his heart out on the track, dedicate his time and body to training, and I've seen him grow into an ambasador for other amazing people like himself.

A small donation goes a long way to insure that the future of this awe-inspiring community thrives for years to come.

Join me in supporting Special Olympics!

I’m collecting donations from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support the nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 6,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 of Special Olympics Illinois! Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.

I’m going to join more than 5,700 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the LETR Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois.

Many thanks for your support – and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
