Paula Kohn's Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! I am so excited to be riding in Israel and for such a great cause, the special needs programs at Ramah.  The Ramah Tikvah programs help kids with special needs to enjoy amazing summers at camp.  I am very proud to be taking on this challenge and raising money for these programs.

My reason for doing this is to have an adventure and see other areas of Israel besides, Efrat and Yerushalayim.  However, I personally know of at least one Tikva program camper who has a genetic disease, and I am awed by her overcoming her physical challenges from Williams Disease and her growth in Jewish ways.  I know that Ramah Tikva program at the New England Camp has benefitted her and next year she will become a Bat Mitzvah, and she is so proud of that event.

Ramah has been a very special part of my life from 1964 to date.  My Ramah affiliation started when I was a babysitter for Drs. Saul and Miriam Klein (z'l) Shapiro 1964-1967, then an Edah Bet Counselor (1968), and a "Marpeah" nurse 1970, 1989 and many other years, when Ramah needed me to assist the Marp staff during crises (1972, 2004 & 2007).

My daughter Rachel attended Ramah from 1989-2004, where she was a camper, counselor and Rosh Amanut.  She also attended TRY in 1998.  This past summer she was a VolleyBall specialist for different weeks.  Ramah has made a difference & has had a significant impact on our lives.  I think this bike ride will be another great Ramah experience.  I am paying for the bike (fun) part and travel for the trip.  The fundraising part is a requirement for my participation, and I hope that you will support my fundraising mission.

Sincerely,

Paula Scharf Kohn
