Thank you for visiting my 2010 Walk for Farm Animals fundraising page!
Hello folks! Once again, it's that time of year when we lace up the old sneakers and hit the park paths to raise awareness and funds for Farm Sanctuary. Why? Because farm animals don't have the legal protections that our dogs and cats do. When they are sick, or maimed, or abandoned, Farm Sanctuary is there is offer them a safe home for life. Additionally, Farm Sanctuary has worked to expose and stop cruel practices of the food animal industry through research and investigations, legal and institutional reforms, public awareness projects, and education.
They've been doing this great work since 1986 and currently their shelters in Watkins Glen, New York, and Orland, Calif., provide lifelong care for hundreds of rescued animals, who have become ambassadors for farm animals everywhere by educating visitors about the realities of factory farming. The annual Walk for Farm Animals is their main souce of income. So let's feed some piggies!
