We invite you to join us during our national Record-A-Thon at our new recording studio in Palo Alto. The Record-A-Thon is an annual recording marathon which is taking place April 19 - 21.
Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) is a nonprofit volunteer organization which serves students who cannot read standard print effectively because of visual impairment, dyslexia or other learning or physical disabilities that preclude holding a book or turning pages. RFB&D is the nation’s largest library of audio textbooks with more than 560,000 books in circulation.
The Record-A-Thon helps RFB&D raise funds for organizational programs and operations, increase awareness of program services and recruit volunteers.
Guest readers join over 200 regular Northern California volunteers who lend their time and voices to record textbooks and other academic materials for over 250,000 members across the country.
We serve all educational levels, from kindergarten through post-graduate and beyond in a broad range of subjects.
You can make a big difference to an individual struggling with print disabilities by lending your voice and expertise. We are committed to helping those with print disabilities pursue their educational, career and life goals.
Our vision is to give all people equal access to the printed word.
Many thanks for your support!
Please forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate to our mission.
