On Sunday, June 3rd, the Kayam Farm at the Pearlstone Center (http://www.pearlstonecenter.org/) will be holding its 1st Annual ECODASH (previously known as ECORIDE), a 5K run to benefit the farm! As co-chair of this exciting event, I encourage you to join us at ECODASH and help support this worthy cause.
The Kayam Farm organically grows delicious and healthy food for the the greater Baltimore community. Not only does the farm provide nutritious food, but it also facilitates hands-on Jewish and secular agricultural and environmental education that serves several thousand participants each year. The Kayam Farm strives to reconnect people with their food and with the earth, inspiring social and ecological responsibility in the Jewish community, greater Baltimore, and beyond. The Kayam Farm includes organically grown vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs, fruit trees, vineyards, berries, asparagus, grains, and a greenhouse. Sections of the farm demonstrate ancient Jewish agricultural laws, reinvigorating our Jewish agricultural heritage. In addition to the farm, the Kayam program also includes interpretive trails, wildlife habitat and ecosystem restoration efforts, and a plethora of community education workshops, programs, and volunteer opportunities.
Please help us raise money for exciting and engaging programs at Kayam Farm by donating through this website - http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/ricky-gratz/ecodash2012
As you'll see, the donation process is simple, fast and secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts. You can donate online with a credit card and all donations are sent directly to the Kayam Farm by Firstgiving, who will email you a printable record of your donation.
Thank you so much for your past and continuing support of the Kayam Farm at the Pearlstone Center! I look forward to seeing you on June 3rd at ECODASH!
