Ramah Hikes the Negev 2013

Robin Packer Hertz's Page

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

Lately I’ve been indulging in remembrance of things past (can’t copyright a title, so borrowing these few words from Proust is kosher), and that brings me to memories of childhood—specifically those happy and enriching summers I spent at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin (1961-1965) and the Ramah Israel Seminar (1967).

So when I learned about the Ramah Israel Hike Trip to raise funds for Ramah’s special needs programs, I sprinted to my desk (while wearing hiking boots, of course), tapped my fingers on the keyboard (a workout for sure), and signed up. Seriously...the cause is terrific. Ramah offers a variety of camping and vocational training programs to meet the needs of kids, teens, and young adults with cognitive delay; autism spectrum disorders, including Asperger’s Syndrome; mobility disorders; and more. And it is for these folks, and the Ramah special needs programs throughout North America, that I ask for your support. May those with special needs be as fortunate as I.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
