Sarah and Bailey's Fundraising Extravaganza

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!

Almost three years ago, my husband and I fell in love with a puppy that we found on Though my husband was hesitant at first (he had always been a cat person), he quickly found that a dog provides true, unconditional love. Sarah, the mutt on the left in the picture, has been the best thing to enter our lives to date. Count on her always being there when needed no matter if it's in the good or bad times. She's a mutt, adopted and found her forever home with us due to the generosity of someone out there like you.

About a year later we found that Sarah needed a companion which led us to adopting the crazy little mutt on the right named Bailey from the same shelter in Lawrenceburg, KY. She too was found on as Sarah was. Bailey and Sarah have made the PERFECT sisters for one another. I get very emotional when I think of all the good and bad times we've had together. The biggest part of that emotion is due to neither of them would be here with us unless people like yourself didn't take the time and put forth your hard earned dollars to help. These are two mutts that are living proof that these Fundraisers work and save lives. I get to come home to two wagging tails daily which brings the biggest amount of joy to my heart that I could ever ask for. There's nothing like having a bad day at work and coming home to not one, but two mutts who realize that and just instantly make every worry go away.

At no time in this process did we think about purchasing a dog from a breeder mainly in fear of puppy mills or a pet store (not ones that house shelters such as Petsmart and The Lexington Humane Society). We’re referring to pet stores that are normally tied to, knowingly or unknowingly, puppy mills are the ones to watch out for. Why should we? The two adorable mutts that we adopted were more at risk and could provide the same or more love as any purebred. Also who’s to say you can’t find a purebred in a shelter as I’ve seen plenty of times in the past? We find it’s also an endless source of amusement to guess what breeds they are composed of! Shelter Dogs, Mutts or Purebreds, are by far the most loyal, loving and obedient dogs in the world since they know where they are and what you did to save them.

We have since donated items and money to our local shelters in order to assist those animals that we cannot take in. By your donation today, you can also provide food and support for animals who are continuing the search for their forever home. We love our babies and would do anything for them, so please, donate and help others; maybe even you find love with shelter dogs as we did.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
