We can help Guatemalans!

Welcome to Sheri & Keith’s fundraising page!

God willing, Keith is leaving for Guatemala on October 1st to embark on a month-long adventure in the city of Quetzaltenango (commonly known by its indigenous name Xela).  In addition to Spanish language school, Keith will be participating in community development projects run by the nonprofit Pop Wuj teacher’s cooperative; these projects are dedicated to supporting public health, education, and sustainability.

Here is a link to Pop-Wuj’s community development web page, http://www.pop-wuj.org/volunteer/community-development.html

Pop Wuj is supported by many volunteers, however the school needs year-round financial assistance to keep these programs running. Please help by donating to Pop Wuj through its U.S.-based nonprofit organization Foundation Todos Juntos, a 501(c)3 charitable organization located in Portland, Oregon (www.todos-juntos.org).

Donating to Pop Wuj (via Todos Juntos) through this FirstGiving website is simple, fast and totally secure  …   and is the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.  You can also donate by sending a check to:

Foundation Todos Juntos
3142 NE 45th Avenue
Portland, OR 97213

Sheri will join Keith in Guatemala on November 3rd in the city of Antigua, where we will vacation, eat lots of ethnic food, go on excursions, and also do some volunteer work at local charities.  If you would like to help Guatemalans living in this area, you can send a check to Sheri & Keith at 374 F Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84103, and we will see to it that the entire amount is given to the needy of Antigua.

Please forward our fundraising page www.firstgiving.com/spanish to anyone you think might want to donate as well, and thank you for your love and support.

Paz (Peace)!

Sheri & Keith (and Maple and Mocha too!)
