A Matter of Honor

Running in honor FBI SA Sam Hicks and to support the NLEOMF

In November 2008, we lost a very close friend, FBI Special Agent Sam Hicks, as he was involved in a drug raid outside of Pittsburgh. Since then we have started a running group, Team Hicks, and have been running races in honor of Sam. Now we are compelled to take it further and honor all Law Enforcement Officers who gave their lives while protecting ours by running to raise money for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

In return for your fundraising efforts, I hope to make your race experience great!  You will be invited to attend group runs, you will receive training and race tips, and we will hold events to get to know each other.  On race day, you will have team members cheering you on throughout the race as well as pre and post race supplies available to you.  A support system goes a long way when you are trying to reach new goals.  We have runners of all distances and all abilities.

It is very simple to join us. First, register and pay the Pittsburgh marathon for the race you are running at Then to officially kick off as a member of Team Hicks you can make a donation on this page or create your own fundraising page by clicking above on "Team" then "Get Started".
I hope you join us in helping Sam and all fallen officers to get the respect and honor they deserve.
