Yes, it’s that time again, when my need to challenge myself has once again reared its ugly head! But this time I have set myself a quadruple challenge. My aim is to row 750 miles, do 7,500 pushups, 7,500 squats and 7.5 hours of planking. The rowing will be done on an erg machine which, as a non-rower, I think this is going to be as much a mental challenge as a physical one. To make it interesting and to keep me honest my wife Sarah is also going to join in but doing row 500 miles, do 5,000 pushups, 5,000 squats and 5 hours of planking.
The start date will be December 1st 2015 and the end date will be as soon as all four challenges are completed.
The money that I raise on this run will be donated to the SCITUATE ANIMAL SHELTER, a no kill shelter located in the town of Scituate, on Boston’s South Shore. This shelter offers an array of services to local towns and communities, including adoption, spay/neuter assistance, education and outreach programs for local schools, a program to help elderly residents with pet care, and aside from a small paid staff, is manned entirely by its 150 plus volunteers. To see more about the shelter, please go to their web site, www.scituateanimalshelter.org .
With Vet bills that can approach $45,000 a year (!), they need all the help they can get.
So, please give generously, and help me reach my goal of $5,000.00!
Donating through this web site is simple, fast, and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support, and don’t forget to forward this to anyone else you think might wish to donate too!
