The holidays are just around the corner. Most of us are looking forward to a happy and festive season. What comes to mind when you think about the holidays? I’ll bet you probably think of family, friends and food!
But for those who are homeless, the holiday season is especially hard. For the more than 1,200 homeless people in Pasadena (50,000 in L.A.) -- the holidays are a harsh reminder of just how little they have. There is no holiday feast. There is no family to celebrate with. There are no gifts under the tree. There is no tree.
At Union Station Homeless Services, we work hard to ensure no one in our community goes hungry. And during the holidays, we make sure to throw in a little extra cheer too! Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, Union Station will serve more than 20,000 hot meals to our homeless and very low-income community members, at a cost of just $2.47 each. But we can’t do it without your help!
Your holiday gift will help feed and care for those in need throughout this holiday season.
No one should go hungry this holiday season—especially when it costs so little to feed a hungry and homeless person.
In addition to meals, and with your support, we will help more than 2,000 homeless people this year on their journey to a healthy, productive, self-sufficient life. Give your gift today and become part of the solution.
