As many of you know, Angela and I are gearing up to run the Chicago Marathon. We are both extremely excited about this, not because of the race itself, but because of the funds we are hoping to raise for such an important population: San Diego’s abused, neglected and abandoned children.
We have already covered the distance before; now we want to run for a reason. Running 26.2 miles is sometimes grueling but it pales in comparison to the everyday life of a foster child. At the end of our race, we have a home to return to and a bed of our own to rest in. Not everyone is so lucky.
All funds will go to Voices for Children, a non-profit 501(c)3 that is dedicated to serving San Diego's foster children. We would greatly appreciate any donation, big or small! It would mean the world to us and to the kids who desperately need our help.
Thank you so much!
