30/30 Writing Challenge

The concept: Writers will challenge themselves to write for 30 minutes each day for 30 days, inspiring their friends and family to offer their pledge of motivation and support to raise money for Hugo House—a place to read words, hear words, and make your own words better.

How we'll make it happen: Writers who take the challenge will set up a free peer-to-peer fundraising profile where they can solicit contributions from friends and family via email and social media. It's also possible to form a team of writers working together to drive traffic to the same fundraising profile.

Who can participate? Anyone can participate! All you need is access to the internet and a commitment to the 30-day writing challenge. The minimum fundraising goal is $200, which just means that you'll do your best to raise at least that much for Hugo House by asking friends, family, and anyone you want to visit your profile to pledge their support and motivate your daily writing. The money you raise will go to support Hugo House and its programs, regardless of whether or not you meet the minimum goal.

If you want to take the writing challenge but don't want to fundraise, you can register as a "Sentence Writer" for a tax-deductible donation of $100. You'll receive all the benefits of a Sentence-level donor to Hugo House's annual fund.

Click on the "Supporters" tab above and search for a writer, or writers, you want to support. Check out the giving levels here. You can also click the green "Donate" button above to contribute directly, rather than supporting an individual writer.

Click on the green "Register" button above to get started as a 30/30 Writer, then grab your writing implement of choice and get to work!
