2018 Rings of Strength

Thursday, May 31, 2018

On Thursday, May 31, 2018 Jewelers for Children will celebrate the sixth installment of our popular Rings of Strength event in Las Vegas, NV during the market week activities.  Participants may elect to bike on one of two different trails, run, walk, or any variation they're comfortable with.  A yoga class will also offered, led by Suzanne Adams from Assurant Solutions.

Bikers can bring their own cycles or rent one.  There are two courses available.  One is a 50K route that will challenge riders on a route through the beautiful Red Rock Canyon with varying challenges and different altitudes.  The second, a less challenging, shorter route. Runners and walkers can enjoy a leisurely 5K route along the unique Las Vegas Strip.

The event will kick-off at 5:30 a.m. to avoid the heat of the day.  Rest stops along the route will ensure that everyone stays hydrated and energized to help raise fund for children in need.  Fruit, water and snack bars will be provided at the start of the race.    The yoga class will begin at 9:00 a.m.  Every participant will receive a gear bag they can take along as they participate, or pick up at the end of the race.  Participants also receive a certificate of completion and a silver ring to signify the story of Maggie & Odie, the two St. Jude children who inspired the name of the race.

During the sign-up process, you will create your own unique fundraising page and URL that you can forward to all of your friends and acquaintances to encourage them to sponsor your participation.  All funds raised will benefit the Jewelers for Children charity partners.

If you are interested in setting up a team to participate in the event, please be sure to register yourself as a participant first and then set up your team.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available and a full sponsorship packet is available at www.jewelersforchildren.org, or by contacting JFC.  Sign up on your own, grab a friend, or even organize a team from your company to participate!
