Yogathon is the Portland-metro area's largest community building event that engages our thriving yoga community. Yogathon also brings awareness to Living Yoga’s mission and raises vital funds to support the life-changing programs Living Yoga delivers at 20+ partner sites, including mental health programs, correctional facilitities, drug/alcohol treatment programs, and transitional centers.
Living Yoga's mission is to foster healing and resilience in vulnerable and marginalized communities through trauma-informed yoga. Our classes are taught by a passionate team of 130+ trained volunteers and serve 3,100 youth and adults with more than 30 classes per week.
With your support, we plan to raise over $40,000 to help Living Yoga continue to bring the healing power of yoga to youth and adults when they need it most.
Fundraising runs from March 15th-April 30th at midnight.
How Yogathon Works:
#1: Register on or after March 15th and set up your personal fundraising page.
#2: Set a goal for your yoga practice during Yogathon. What you choose is personal and up to you. It could be to practice as many times as you can in the month of April, focus on a specific posture, or commit to a meditation practice. There will be lots of Yogathon benefit classes offered throughout April if you choose to participate in those, as well!
#3: Let your friends, family, and colleagues know how you will #Practice with Purpose, and ask them to support your practice with a donation to Living Yoga through your personal fundraising page.
What does your $25 registration fee include?
Your $25 registration fee includes the opportunity to win prizes all throughout the month of April, a certificate for a FREE massage or acupuncture session at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, and a pass to the Columbia Employee Store (with 10% of purchases going back to Living Yoga).
*** Living Yoga does not require you to attend any of the benefit classes or commit to anything specific. You decide how you want to #PracticeWithPurpose for the duration of Yogathon.***
