‘Running with the Bears’ is a fundraiser for the PowderQuest weekend; an outdoor leadership program for youth in foster care.
About the race:
Aid Stations: Aid stations will be located approx. every 2.5 miles throughout all courses. Stations are stocked with water, snacks, and first aid kits. Each stations will by managed by a different community group competing for your vote in the areas of best: theme, snacks, and creativity. The top three winning groups will have $1,000, $500 and $300 donated to their cause.
Chip Timing: Timing provided by Under the Sun Events.
Start/Finish Line: Same-day registration and check-in begins at 6:00 am. The finish line is the same as the start line, located at the Goss Ranch: 4864 North Arm Road, Greenville, CA 95947. The finish line closes at 2:30pm.
T-Shirts/Awards: Entry fee includes a participation gift/t-shirt, a finisher medal for marathon and half-marathon finishers, digital chip timing, age division and overall division awards.
After Party: We hope you will join us for an evening Lu'au BBQ at the Goss Ranch Finish Line (5pm). Join the locals for hula dancers, ukulele players, and cow pie bingo. Not to miss!
Strollers/Dogs and Children: This is Plumas County, of course you can bring them! Just please, keep the dogs leashed and the kids supervised.
