Join us for the 4th year as we go "over the edge" to raise funds and awareness for Our Clubhouse, a local non-profit that provides free support to anybody touched by cancer.
Over the Edge Pittsburgh is a rare and thrilling opportunity to rappel 26 stories down the Oliver Building in downtown Pittsburgh, all in the name of a great cause. Many people think they're terrified of heights, but consider this...the members of Our Clubhouse face fear everyday while facing a cancer diagnosis, medical treatment and it's side-effects, caring for a loved one with cancer, talking to a child about cancer and the fear of dying from this disease. You say you're afraid of heights, but you only have to face that fear for a few brief minutes. Our Clubhouse members face fear daily. So try to set your fears aside and step into the shoes (briefly) of our courageous members and register to rappel for a great cause. After all, we will all be touched by cancer at some point in our lives.
Participants must raise a minimum of $1500 to secure a rappel spot. A $150 non-refundable registration fee is required which will be applied toward your fundraising minimum.
Toss the Boss
Your fearless leader* may not seem so fearless when it comes to dangling over the side of a 26-storybuilding. Start a petition and generate excitement in the office so that your boss can’t say no!
Gather your co-workers & get everyone on board!
Register your boss online & set up a fundraising page under your boss’ name.
Communicate your team goal: You and your team must raise a min. of $2,500 to Toss Your Boss.
*Your boss has the option to respectfully decline participation if they or the company match the donations raised by the employees. The participation spot will then be drawn from all willing individuals who contributed funds!
For those to "chicken" to rappel, join us in the Chicken Coop. No fundraising necessary but please feel free to create a fundraising page to help support those in our community touched by cancer.
Be sure to tell your family and friends to stop by the Block Party for food, fun and entertainment and to cheer on those who make their way down the building.
