Join us for the 7th Annual Walk a Mile Asheville!
Walk a Mile Asheville is the "Peoples March to End Rape, Sexual Assault, and Gender Violence". The event consists of participants walking a mile, in the shoes of another, through the streets of downtown Asheville. It is a symbolic gesture of responsibility and solidarity, as well as a great way to raise awareness about a very serious issue in a fun, family-friendly environment. Walk a Mile Asheville has been voted in the top three fundraising events by the " Best of WNC" three years in a row and is the top fundraiser for Our VOICE, Buncombe County's Sexual Assault Services agency.
Follow these 3 easy steps!
1. Sign up to walk! Register for the walk by clicking on the "Buy tickets on EventBrite" tab. You can choose to walk as an individual or you can create/join a team. Be sure to come back to FirstGiving to create your individual or team fundraising page!
***Your team will not show up on this page until you complete step #2***
2. Create your fundraising page! Select "Buy tickets on EventBrite", then select "I've already purchsed a ticket and want to create a fundraising page". You can choose to fundraise as an individual or you can create/join a team.
3. Share this page with your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc. Ask them to walk with you and/or to donate to your fundraising page!
We look forward to seeing you on May 7th!
